This is a time of crisis where we can only look at what hope and good can come through in these dark times.
We, at BAO, want to show our support and appreciation for the NHS and it’s workers by feeding them free, heart warming, delicious meals to nourish them in these dark times. As some of you know, we are launching Rice Error by BAO delivery service soon.
With our delivery service, BAO are looking to cook up free hot meals en masse made with love and care for the NHS, and with your support and donations we will be able to cook up even more meals and serve to those on the frontline. We will be supplying to hospitals in London, who have been in touch with us, and we know the difference it will make to their long and tough working days.
We hope that this will go some way to show them how much Britain is in awe of those working on the front line, who are putting their lives at risk every day. The NHS heroes, who are often over worked, and under-nourished, working 20-hour shifts, with little time to cook and to go to shops to buy food.
We are launching the Convenie Store – an online shop selling all our beloved BAO merchandise, and a curation of one off art pieces from the Founders and Artists collaborations. This is in response to the crisis, as we wanted to create a Hardship Fund for our wonderful BAO Staff. All profits from the Convenie Store will be donated into the Hardship Fund, as a token of our appreciation for our team during these difficult times. This was planned to launch later this year, but since the crisis unfolded, we would like to bring this forward. Whilst Convenie Store won’t have fully materialised into the full shop we were hoping to launch, we hope that over the next couple of weeks, we will be able to use our time in the lockdown to create new items to add to the shop to create a more compelling variety.
We want to thank those who have supported us during these challenging times. A decision to make any change is a hard one, but in these times we are adapting in order to do what is right for everyone. With a heavy heart, we have decided to temporarily close BAO starting 17th March for the safety and health of our community.
In light of all this, last weekend, the team put their minds together and dreamed up a delivery brand called ‘Rice Error by BAO’. Some may say – a brand born in reaction to the current crisis. We hope to continue serving our hungry community during the months ahead and by doing this we hope to minimise the effect that this challenge is having on all our customers and BAO family
